Blessed love. As a traveling musical-educational ensemble connecting creatively intelligent / "alternative" communities, we have been encountering and witnessing communities like this in various forms of development -- from learning pods to established new paradigm schools. I hope we can work together to formalize the communication network, so that schools like these are supported by visiting artists whose work is relevant to the mission. Wow! I'm from Ojai. I attended the Oak Grove School. I tutor homeschooled kids now, but I love this type of education setting. I didn't know about this place. Thanks for the article!

Excited to see the next EdRe video in the series.

A group of other parents and I -- all with kiddos in a forest school -- were talking today about schools that don't feel like institutions, that are spaces for joy and creativity and curiosity -- and "emergent" learning (to borrow your phrasing). And...we were also talking about the other stuff that feels important and yet not nearly so important as growing mindful, kind, curious humans: literacy, especially, and numeracy too. What happens at Rock Tree Sky in those areas? I believe it can happen; I want to understand more.
